Suishō was a pupil of Seihō Takeuchi and also studied painting at the Kyōto City School of Arts and Crafts. Later he was a professor at the Kyōto City Painting College. Suishō used the nihonga style for his art and his paintings of flowers and (or) birds include the twenty-one examples shown here. Click on a picture to enlarge it.
